Week 4 - Common Art

Maya Lighting & Values

This week we were given a few options for how to practice lighting; I chose to do it in Maya/Arnold as that was my undergrade and a proper refresh was nice. I was provided 3 well crafted bust models, all created by my 3D art professor Nick Zuccarello, to use in a Maya scene with lighting.

I also created something extra in the scene to provide lighting (as well as the other lights lol).

Annnd that's about it. This was more a refresher on 3 point lighting and using Arnold properly VS learning and making something entirely new, but that also makes it one of the more enjoyable projects I've done thus far.

Thanks for reading. See ya next week.
